Congratulations, Nixon and Rowena!!

This weekend marks the end of my first "busy season." No, not audit busy season (harhar, all my accounting friends got that joke) but the illustrious WEDDING season. I think I've somehow made the pilgrimage into adulthood, and the most glaring indicator is not the fact that i have to pay my own bills, go to work, or talk to more old people - it's the fact that i'm going to weddings of people i actually remember.

And while it was scary and weird at first, I think i've finally figured out the secret to attending weddings:
1. know the bride/groom well enough to get a copy of their schedule and seating plan.
2. buy a back-up dress in case your parents have come to visit you for a week and have stuffed you with so much good food you've grown a size too big to fit in your other dress.
3. acquire a sister who has really nice earrings that you can borrow. :)
4. have a dad who will drop you off at the front door first and then go park the car. (so you can minimize the pain from walking in high heels across the parking lot)
