As per my previous blog, I have promised tales from Andrea's Birthday Celebration.
Let me explain Team Canada. Gosh, i wish i could upload my pictures onto the blog to let you guys see them. They're great though, and i've had the most fun this week screaming at the tv screen at Baileys watching the Stanley Cup playoffs with them. GO FLAMES GO! (btw, as we speak the Calgary Flames are celebrating yet another playoff victory against detroit red wings - boo yah)
I definitely feel a sense of comraderie amongst Team Canada in the NAFTA program and I'll always have fond memories of this group - whether it's Kathleen's outrageous stories every morning on the metro, Adam's rampant alcoholism, Daniel's nonchalant british accent while smoking a cigarette (somehow he's calgarian), Brenden's random shouts of profanity at the hockey game, or Olivier's ever growing goatee (think double chin, but in the form of hair growing on hair). I had a *great* time last night and will always have warm fuzzies for Team Canada, the Frontpage, and the bartender who gave us "sweet tarts."
Then i come home to my lovely roomates who have decorated the entire apartment with streamers and balloons, and i got flowers too! After being put to bed by my wonderful roomates, I passed out until this morning when i decided that i wouldn't be able to make it to work. The great thing about being an unpaid intern is that you can play hookie GUILT-FREE! So then to top it all off, we had four fresh lobsters and ten crabs from Cape Cod for dinner!! My roomate's bfriend surprised her with LIVE seafood for all of us and we had the most wonderful dinner ever, complete with italian bread and a bottle of sweet italian champagne.
